"Today we held the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony at Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery. Vickie Gilbert-Flores, site coordinator,  did another wonderful job of bringing the community together to honor our veterans. Donald McKay, Brandywine Battle and Cemetery History Historian and Board member of the cemetery, gave the keynote speech of the history of the cemetery and area since colonial times. Ceremonial wreath layers, including chapter member Colonel Cynthia Jane Abbadini, United States Army, honored each branch of the United States Military. With help from local scout troops, The William E Taylor Division of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, members of our Chester County Daughters of the American Revolution Chapter and members of the community, almost 700 wreaths were placed in remembrance of our veterans. Huzzah!"
